Now in its 20th year, the 2+2 Scholarship Golf Tournament was founded by Mike and Debra Herrington of Olive Branch to raise funds for academic scholarships supporting DeSoto County students at Northwest Mississippi Community College-DeSoto Center and the University of Mississippi-DeSoto in Southaven.
Most of these students are working to earn a college degree while maintaining their local jobs, as well as keeping community and family commitments.

A majority of Northwest-DeSoto and Ole Miss-DeSoto alumni have stayed in the region, built businesses, taught at our local schools, served our community through law enforcement and social services, and become leaders in a variety of careers that make a difference in DeSoto County and the Mid-South.
We believe that our community can continue to grow and prosper when we have an educated workforce, and it starts with helping our best and brightest students close to home.
